Sites were great, Laurie and John the best.

My recent stay , I was unhappy after arriving & to find my bed had not been made with fresh sheets! There was a black hair in the bed & crumbs! Messed up sheets! Not ok!! When talking with the staff , they assured they would contact me. So threw the whole weekend “I slept on top of the blankets! When u pay that much to stay in a cabin ! It needs to be clean!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our housekeeping staff provides fresh bedding before each guest checks in. On rare occasions, nature finds their way into our tipis/cabins. When brought to our attention, we immediately replace the bedding.

Good location for visiting Leavenworh & other places in the area. Sites were more dirt than grassy & the wi-fi was very spotty at best. Other KOA's have much better wifi so this park needs to improve on that. Amenities were great. Would give it a 5 if the wifi actually worked more than not.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are located in the beautiful Yakima Valley which is a region in the high desert of Washington State where the climate is hot and dry in the summer. Nestled at the base of the Cascade Mountains which block rain clouds and trap the moisture on the western side of the range giving us more sunny days

Grounds are lovely with older trees, shade — but facility needs upgrading badly. Restroom near our site was locked all night so no access; electrical connection hard to find and figure out; after-hours reservation info difficult to find (signage not very clear); extremely hyper and barking dogs in the “K-9” yard chasing around and yapping for a good hour when we were trying to set up.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We have 2 public bathhouses that are open 24/7 and the restrooms in the middle of the park do not even require a code for the door. Our electrical posts are easily spotted, standing a few feat tall, and user friendly. Our after-hours registration area is marked with lighted signs and instructions.

WiFi was terrible. Had some work to do . Overall enjoyed but price was a little high. We also had guests arrive at 5:05. front desk lady was very rude. She told them they were pushing it cause she was closed. I spoke to her early in the day telling her we had 2 arrivals coming, she mentioned that they need to pay and check in. Nothing was said I should pay earlier. of

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our office is open until 6pm everyday and we do require all guests and visitors to check-in upon arrival to receive a car pass with instructions on where to park as only 1 car is allowed on each site.

I’ve stayed at many KOAs and this is the first time the very capable staff didn’t have the authority to fix problems. They had to wait for the owner to be on property and they had to be showed by national office what was obviously wrong. Beautiful spot on the river.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

As at most KOAs/campgrounds, on-site management and staff although very capable do require owner approval for certain fixes. Also, as a KOA, we are subject to annual inspections, which we passed again this year.

Friendly and accomodating staff. We made reservations last minute and were cherrfully given a pull through site for the night. WiFi was slow and spotty. Dog area was very nice BUT people did NOT pick up after their dogs. One day I picked up 10 poops not including my own dog's waste in the dog area. So what is a really nice area, was dirty and made me gag. Garbage pick up a plus.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are a pet friendly park and are happy to provide 2 fenced in dog parks. We also have several poop bag stations with dog waste receptacles in the dog park areas and throughout the park. Our staff cleans the dog parks on a regular basis, but respectful dog owners are appreciated.

Great management

I asked for a shady spot if possible and they actually took the time to give us one. It wasn't that hard to do because there's quite a bit of shade available but they made sure it was done and our Bernese Mountain Dog appreciated it.

My stay at your campground has been very nice at this site. I did have a problem with your Burlington KOA located in Burlington Washington. They misrepresented the number of vacancies where they told me they only had one available space. When we arrived at that campground, there were many open camping spots our travel trailer would have been able to use. I was very disappointed in the process

We were happy with the stay, but missed seeing garbage and recyclables containers.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are pleased to offer on-site trash pick-up service to avoid smelly, unsightly garbage containers being in the park which may attract unwanted critters/bugs.

Clean and staff very helpful

it was all about the kids they loved all the activities
Aug 03, 2023
Very nice facilities. Very kid friendly. Campsite was loud at night due to closeness to I-90 freeway.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

As a KOA Journey, we are easily accessible to major roadways to better accommodate travelers, yet most of our sites are closer to the Yakima River where the sound of the flowing water soothes weary travelers to sleep among the shade trees.

We really enjoyed our stay, nice place and so close to Ellensberg and short drive to Yakima. Would have been a 10 if the Wifi was better. I hope they can get better Wifi and we’ll be a returning customer.
Aug 02, 2023
Pool was very clean! But, it was more expensive than other koa we have stayed at, with the same amenities.
Aug 02, 2023
Quiet and perfect weather

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our location on the Yakima River in Kittitas Valley is very peaceful despite being easily accessible to I90 and downtown Ellensburg.

I found the KOA camps really super nice with alot of shade sites. I also found the staff very friendly and helpful. With all that said the place needs to be update; wifi, cable, and water psi.
Aug 01, 2023
This was our second stay and I was not as pleased as our last stay. I was charged for an additional adult that did not attend (I told the gentleman when I checked in but he did not remove or refund me). The womens bathroom (by the office) was dirty more than it was clean and out of toilet paper in ALL stalls. The SaniCans were disgusting. It was a disappointing stay.
Aug 01, 2023
Clean. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Easy off and on to I90.
Aug 01, 2023
Very high price for partial service , no sewer , no wifi to site, one only dump pipe at the 2way dump station causes long waits & line ups, unpaved streets & sites , compared to all other rv campgrounds in the KOA organization this is the poorest value in camping, note - we have been trailering for over 20 years & used KOA sites in 9 Provinces in Canada & 4 States. Ellensburg deserves better

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We offer FHU sites along with sites that are water/electric only due to being directly on the Yakima River. Free wifi is available throughout the park but can be spotty due to high occupancy. Due to not being able to have sewer connections on the river sites, guests take advantage of free dumping.

Very pleasant Staff. Overall very expensive campground.

Overall great stay. Portable bathrooms could be cleaner though

Great place

Expensive WIFI sucked even tho we’re underneath the signal Pool was cold brr
Jul 31, 2023
It was the most bare bones KOA we have stayed in. There were no kids activities like bingo or movies. No popcorn or coffee like others. The pool was very small. The store hardly had anything. Nothing like tigers like milk, butter, coffee drinks, alcohol. Bathrooms and showers were tinny and very outdated. Wasps EVERYWHERE. Camp Ground is just not worth the KOA cost compared to others.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are a KOA Journey, not a Holiday or Resort, yet we do offer additional activities on occasion such as an outdoor movie night with free popcorn. We also have a game room for the kids and free coffee every morning in our well stocked store. Being a family park, we are not licensed to sell alcohol.
Jul 31, 2023
It was OK. The bathrooms were clean, which was great, but the noise from the freeway was constant and this has to have been the most expensive KOA I have been to. For what?

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our location offers beautiful, shaded sites nestled at the base of the Cascade Mtns and on the banks of the Yakima River, yet is easily accessible from I90 yet being far enough so you can't even see I90 from the park.

Friendly staff!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our staff enjoys what they do and want to make sure our guests enjoy their time in our park as well.
Jul 30, 2023
The KOA was very clean. The cabins were also very clean and tidy. The staff was great with bringing us fresh towels when asked and I thought it was really cool that they picked up our trash every morning. So handy. Pool area was also very nice. Highly recommended this place.

The bathrooms were clean, the campsites were a good size, however the noise from the roadway was awful. Trucks would pump their brakes at all hours of the night making it impossible to sleep. The pool was freezing cold and you can’t swim in the river.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

As a Journey campground, we are easily accessible to I90, being located on an off-ramp yet not directly off I90. The other side of the campground is directly on the Yakima River which runs very swiftly here, making it dangerous to wade in but we have a pool for swimming instead, which is even warmer

Nice convenient location. Try to get site ten for great river access. Very clean well ran establishment. Fri night they do hotdogs and margaritas. Saturday night is movie night with popcorn. Sunday morning is sausage and pancake breakfast.

Terrible. I would avoid this fee grabbing campground: "Minimum 3 night stay--non refundable" Supposedly due to demand, but when we arrived there were less than 5 campers on site. Noisy beyond description, and way overpriced for a "Journey" ; we refused to check in, are trying to get our money back, and went on to stay at a KOA Resort with quiet setting, indoor pool, and plenty for the kids for LESS than this overpriced nightmare. Beware!
