Very nice campground, interesting walking trail through lava field. Laundry was very reasonable, but dryers needed two cycles to finish. Wifi was perhaps the best I've experienced in any campground. All in all, this is a quality park in a very convenient location. Pay attention to entrance/exit requirements for a very smooth engagement! Very nice management with free pancake breakfast!

Could not find a nicer team! Flat gravel spot, nice little hiking trail through the lava, free pancakes and coffee…awesome. Only negative was train horns but didn’t keep us from falling asleep quickly.

Really well kept Koa and super friendly staff and who would have thought they would have an on site kitchen with a dinner menu which you order and they deliver it to your Rv . Thanks again for the hospitality and delicious turkey dinners and chocolate cake. Definitely would stay there again.

My favorite KOA. Restrooms and showers are clean and private. Grounds are well maintained First and last stop every trip east

We stay at this particular KOA each year on our way back to Canada. It never disappoints! The restrooms are one of the nicest we have encountered. Always perfection. And we can count on a nice hot meal when we arrive. Bonus!

We’ve stayed here on two different journeys and hope to be in the area again.

We found there: friendly, helpful people, good food, and a peaceful night’s rest after a very stressful day of travel.

We enjoyed one of the meals that was brought to us at our trailer and the pancake breakfast was nice too. I like the separate bathrooms/showers rather than the normal divided mens and womens bathrooms. They were kept very clean.

This KOA is one of the very best! We felt very welcome upon arrival, a very friendly staff that seemed happy to have us as their guests. The restaurant meal and service was a nice touch, a bonus not having to unhook to go out or cook ourselves. And, the morning pancakes got us off to a great start! The sites are quite accommodating for our 40’ bus. Kudos to the KOA in Grants, NM!

Maria, and every single staff member, were amazing! Friendly and helpful!! The bathrooms are the nicest I’ve ever seen at a campground, and they’re cleaned daily! Overal, a great campground! Thank you!

After a long detour due to a train derailment we finally made it to Grant's KOA. The staff was amazing ! If you are able to stay here do it you will not be disappointed !!! We are traveling from RI and this was the perfect stop for a night. The BBQ they offer is amazing and they also offer complimentary breakfast. Everyone was so friendly we will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Great friendly staff. Ordered food from the cafe, and OMG! Best BBQ (or food of any kind) of the entire trip! Stand out staff, unexpectedly good food. Would highly recommend.

This is a wonderful KOA! I've stayed in many KOAs throughout the country and this is definitely at the very top. The staff is the best and I would give them more stars if I could. The bathrooms and showers were excellent. The internet was also great. I also enjoyed the free pancakes and was very entertained by the pancake machine. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very kind folks here. Even had breakfast and coffee to share w/campers. I appreciated the honoring of late-night reservations and that we could shower in the middle of the night during our travels.

Nice campground. The food service was very easy to use and the delivery service was great. Would recommend this facility to others. The only bad thing is that the campground should give a revised listing of the cable channels that are available in that area. It would be very helpful instead of having to search around to find what channels are available. Other than that everything was freat.

Awesome campground, wish we could have stayed longer than one night. Will be back.

Traveling west from Illinois. Grant's KOA has a friendly staff. The sites are level, gravel with full hookups. The free pancake and coffee breakfast is a nice touch which we enjoyed. We also ordered pizza from their kitchen, for dinner, which was delivered to our site and was very good as well. We appreciated the private rooms for bathroom and showers too. Highly recommend Grants KOA.

Such a little gem! The staff are beyond kind. When we checked in, they were closing the kitchen, and asked if we wanted any food and they'd open the kitchen back up. So sweet. The campsites are clean and well-maintained. The bathrooms are great. The gift shop is super cute. And they offer free pancakes and coffee in the morning. If we ever pass through, we'd stay here again.

We stayed for 5 nights while making our way east. The campground is located just south of I-40 on the southwest edge of Grants, New Mexico, next to a large field of lava rock. You can reach the campground entrance from either end of Cibola Sands Loop, a short curved road that bows out from Route 53, so if you miss one entrance to the road you'll have a second chance. The campground has the usual mix of cabins, tent sites, and RV sites. The tents and cabins are all on the northern edge of the park, along with a couple of small RV back-in sites with only water and electric hookups. The rest of the RV sites are FHU pull-through sites arranged in three rows with all of the sites pointed northwest. All of campgrounds roads and RV site surfaces are gravel. All of the pull-through RV sites have a picnic table and are open to the sky; some sites only have 30amp connections, some have patios, and some have an adjacent tree providing a bit of shade. Our site (136) was a bit un-level side-to-side such that we put a board under our driver-side camper tires. The office building is typical of most KOAs: it contains a store that sells convenience store items (including bags of ice) as well as souvenirs, a laundry room with a small reading library, and bathrooms accessed via key code. The bathrooms are all individual rooms with showers. Next to the office is a collection of small lawn games (cornhole, Connect Four, and tetherball), and several steps further to the east is a small playground. A propane refill station and a dump station are located near the campground entrance, and there is a single large dumper across from the western end of the pull-through rows. On the south side of the campground is a short gravel walking trail that winds through the lava field, with signs pointing out landmarks and providing facts about the area. Campers can stop by the office between 7:30am and 9:30am to make pancakes with a pancake-making machine at no charge. The campground also has a dinner menu: you can order the food and they will deliver it to your site. Current menu items include five types of dinners, four pizza options and pie or cake with a side of ice cream for dessert. The campground has two dog parks: one right across from the office next to where you stop to check in, and a slightly larger one behind the dump station. Both have gravel surfaces, single gates, and no dedicated lighting. You can also walk dogs in the large dirt and brush area on the east end of the campground or on the walking trail. In terms of cell service, the best speed I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was only 3 Mbps down and 7 up, even though the cell signal strength looked good. The best speed I saw on my AT&T smartphone with 5G was much better, with 24 Mbps down and 8 up. The campground WiFi was excellent: I saw 70 down and 5 up on my initial speed test, and we ended up using the WiFi for work and for streaming.
