Lots of amenities particularly for kids and lodging options (tent, RV, treehouse, teepee, conestoga wagon, cabins and condo) beautiful view/country, convenient off interstate, Loves and Mammoth Cave, but be prepared for lots of road noise, neat, clean, attractive. Tiered parking...upper level lots could be graded better to make set up easier (ie unlevel/ruts). Dump station is awkward on slope.

Most sites you can hear the loudness of the highway. The bottom area pull thrus are worst as far as noise. Very uneven sites, front end was way high which is not good for people with automatic levels. It’s a very well kept campground but the noise was a huge factor for us not staying more than one evening. Like to be able to have a conversation around the fire.

Amazing accommodations (treehouse) and loved all of the amenities (jumping pillow, mini golf). And THE NORTHERN LIGHTS - what?!?!? Such an amazing bonus night!!!

Stayed overnight so that I could attend to nearby matters without driving home on the same day. Staff was super friendly. Only disappointment was that when I booked a site it said it was shady with trees. The site I was assigned had no shade, no trees, no grass, not even dirt. Just gravel from road to road. The gravel didn’t look comfortable for my pupper so called it an early night.

Very clean! Excellent faclites...sites and especially the bathrooms.

The grounds and facilities are amazingly well maintained. We had tons of rain while there, even so we had very little mud due to the amount and type of gravel on the lots. The people are friendly. The friends we were traveling with were surprised at the many options of kid friendly things to do. The plan to come back bringing their grandchildren. It is one of the better KOA's that we have stayed

Overnight stay on our way home from Florida. Easy access off of I-65. Shower facilities very spacious and clean. I did not care for the location of our site as we had to go up a steep hill (no stairway) to get to the showers. You can hear the I-65 traffic; quite loud. If we stop here again, I definitely will request a site on the same level as the restrooms.

Would have gotten a 5 but facilities were hard to get around. Had to exit and re-enter to use dump station. Could not locate trash dumpsters.

This was the third time we have stayed in the Conestoga Wagon and we enjoy it every time. The king size bed is very comfortable and the view from the firepit of the farmland and beautiful sunsets is amazing. The bathhouse facility is nice and always clean and the staff is always nice and helpful. Cant wait for our next visit.

My only concern was remembering to bring my phone to restroom so if locked in I could call koa office for help. For solo travelers and office is closed or forgetting ones phone, please just fix the locks. All else was great.

The “pull through” site wasn’t exactly what we expected. When you advertise a pull through it shouldn’t be more like a pull off onto a mounded boulevard. We were just there for one night so it was fine but if our stay had been longer we would have wanted to probably switch sites.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I am sorry you had an unpleasant stay. The site you booked states it is for easy in an out for just an overnight stay.

Gravel sites, freeway noise! Nice staff!

They are really redoing this campground and adding new features. Treehouse cabins, tepees were added plus the existing covered wagons. Several really nice bathrooms (shower, sink and toilet all in one) were also added. Very nice!

Small tight lots with very few full hookups. The dump station is on the side of a hill and a very odd and difficult setup.

Traffic noise is annoying and the RV sites are poor. The facilities are great and the workers are first rate.

This is a great campground location to visit Mammoth Cave NP. The entire campground is on a hill, so it’s hard to get to the restrooms and laundry room when you’re staying in the lower sites. Also, they only had one working dryer when we were there, which was hard.

Lovely campground. Deceiving photos. Catching up on helpful Google reviews from previous stays. I usually place reviews on Campendium for RV parks. ---------------- $60/night Stayed 8 nights Site #87 Stayed here end of-Aug 2023. Pull-through 50 amp. FHU. ***Photos—Sites 84-93: The photos on their site are not accurate. There is only rocky gravel. No grass on the sites at all. See my photos.*** THE GOOD: -Sites: Very spacious sites. The sites in pull throughs near the barn are not level. Very high in front and need to adjust a good amount left to right. -Gas/restaurants/groceries: It is within 10 min of anything you might need. -Location: several caves to explore within 5 min. Mammoth Cave NP 20 min away. -Showers/Bathrooms: Great bathrooms / showers! Private with locking door. Full bathroom like you would have at home with nicely tiled walls. -Nice setting: The barn, fishing pond, and farm behind the campground make this campground really comfy. -Near interstate: Yes. Campground WiFi: -Really good and reliable (for campground wifi) during our stay. Cell/hotspot using booster: -AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G) -Verizon (2 of 4 bars—5G) Note: Cell service is unstable and drops often. Still works. Just helpful to know ahead of time.
