Campground Reviews

Only stayed one night. But the staff was friendly, he gave us bottled water, dog treats and mutt mitts at check in. Not a lot of green space, but very cool amenities overall.

Lovely little campground run by helpful, creative people. I was not there at the best time of year--mostly worried about freezing holding tanks--but I still appreciated the obvious efforts to make this a fun and interesting place! There is even a train car and a caboose to stay in. Nice dog area, well-kept grounds and a "secret" passage through the fence to shops just behind.

Worst place ever. The big red rocket was not a good host. Blamed and charged for things that were obviously missing before hand. All lies on his part. I will recommend to all of my conworkers that work in this region to never stay here. And I will never ever stay there again!

Stayed in the caboose cabin (on a previous occasion, stayed in a rustic camp cabin). Friendly, helpful hosts, very hospitable. Pleasant, quiet, clean, convenient, a great place to stay with kids! Trains, dinosaurs, Koshare museum, canyon hikes, nearby fishing/paddy boarding lakes make for a wonderful family vacation!

It was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed everything: private patio, the bench loft overlooking campground, dog park, firepit, close to store while still feeling secluded. We got engaged. Super romantic and cozy. When we ran out of propane they refilled it in minutes. Very clean. Kid and pet friendly.

We loved our overnight stay in the caboose. Everything was great and we had a fun time. The caboose is decorated very cute and we had fun hanging out in it. The staff was very friendly. Check in was so smooth and easy. We came in after hours and it was so easy to get our check in packet and get settled. We'll definitely recommend this campground to others.

Cutest RV Park! Simple but has nice dog park, playground, pool. Staff was amazing, can't thank them enough for their help! Train themed - when the get the VistaDome finished (yes, a real train car; making it a Lodge) I want to bring my family. Will definitely stay again!

I stayed one night in the Red cabin in early December. Anyone looking for a pleasant change from a typical roadside motel will love these cabins. Basic and rustic, but with your own patio and a picnic table with a grill and fire pit. Community bathrooms and showers were clean and close by.

Nice gated location next to I 40, easy off and on, but the tradeoff if the interstate noise

The employees were so NICE and the bathroom was maybe the cleanest and nicest we had ever seen at any campground in the past year!

Great spot and a very comfortable stay! I was upgraded to the Caboose which was remodeled to provide great character. Brad, the owner, was very kind and friendly. The check-in process was easy. I will definitely stay again in the future.

Was very small. Bed down stairs was the hardest bed i have ever slept on that wasnt a cot. But the place was clean. The tv reception was horrible. It would play for 15 or 20 min then shut down. Probably wont stay here again. But would if i couldn't get a hotel room.

My husband and I stayed in the same cabin last veterans day weekend. And are now making it a reoccurring hunting trip, the cabin is perfect for me and my husband. It doesn't even feel like you are next to the highway. Peaceful and cozy. Having a hot shower after being cold all day is just what we needed. And the staff was very friendly! We will definitely be back next year!

Very friendly owner! Cool railroad cars and other smaller bits of mid-twentieth century nostalgia. Clean restrooms. I'd love to stay here again!

This is a very unusual park. It utilizes old cabooses as cabins as well as different style cabins that gives a less regimented feel to the park. Sites are spacious and ours was long enough for our motor home and enclosed car hauler. There was also parking at the side for our car. Some sites had shade but most were sunny. The playground was large with lots to do and the pool had a slide.

Stayed in the Caboose and it was awesome! The entire park is very well kept and the staff was very helpful.

We came in after a long day on the road. The people could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Next time this way, we’ll certainly drop back in.

Nice enough park but the laundry facilities were not very clean.

Nice showers but they need a little shelf in the stalls and a bigger hook.

We stayed in the caboose... Fun but I wish the bathroom was more private.

We have camped there twice on our way to an event. The campground is well managed and the hosts are friendly and have a plethora of information about the wildlife, sightseeing, and shopping in the area. We were able to tour the unreserved train caboose that was recently added to the property. It has been fully renovated and is very cute. We may reserve it for an overnight visit next time.

We enjoyed our short stay. Hope to visit again. Thanks!

We had a tent site and they were very clean and private! It had a full covered sink with water and electricity. The fire pit and tent pads were great! My husband and I were impressed with this journey, we have had less amenities at Holiday KOAs, so we would highly recommend this KOA! Brad was very friendly as was the maintenance man. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice campground, quiet at night, and easy to find. Managers are not very personable, they had no signs saying the dump station was closed and the lady was short with me when I tried to use them. Also, My wife felt strange that the mens restrooms had doors locks on the stalls but all the women's locks had been removed.

Came in late around midnight and office stops personally welcoming you at 10 p.m. The fact they welcome you till 10 p.m. says a lot about the quality of customer service you get here, which is exceptional. Though we arrived late, there was a big sign right when you pull in that says late arrivals welcome. There are very clear instructions on how to pay and there's even a sign that tells you which lots are available still, taking the guess work out of it. Never had an easier time getting in late and finding a spot and getting hooked up. Sites are perfectly level with several pull through and back in options. The shore power station is well lit for ease of hooking up, and the sites are clearly marked as to which site is which making things remarkably easy to manage. The water spickets already have a splitter so no fuss over messing the neighbors water supply up at all. Some of the best sites I have ever seen. As far as the park amenities, they are top notch. WiFi. Actually works and isn't congested by so many people being on it. Extremely fast speeds for a park this size. Pool. Excellently maintained. Playground. Safe and actually fun for kids with more than just your simple slide and sand pit. The showers were the cleanest I've seen in a long time. Very well maintained. Hot water lasted and the privacy is just right. This place has all the feeling of the old school road side stop. Beautifully decorated with one of the funnest themes I've seen. I'm a train car guy myself, and they actually have a caboose you can rent as a cabin. Absolutely awesome. Price is comparable to a night at a hotel, though having driven by the local hotels/motels that are price comparable, I would say this is hands down the better option, unless drug addicts and vagrants are your preferred neighbor. I would like to thank the owners as they were understanding of our late departure as we got in so late. They are the friendliest people I have ever encountered on my many travels. They were gracious, as well as hilarious. I even got a free deck of playing cards. I cannot, hands down, recommend this place enough. 10 stars!!!!
