Cabin was very warm and stuffy upon arrival, no airflow. Dust built up on all fan blades. Previous floor lint and dirt hanging from the broom at the door when arrived. Specifically asked for unit w/ TV, this was not granted. Felt as though not much time was put into making sure the unit was cleaned. I stayed at this exact cabin 4 months ago and this second time was not as good.

We had a great stay at the KOA! The staff is friendly and helpful. We had to change our schedule due to sickness and they allow us to do it. The bathrooms were clean and the place is also very clean and safe. Lot of fun things to do near by. We rented a cabin and it was comfortable and clean. Finally, their firewood is great!

enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and walking around KOA. Definitely nice staying in a kabin with toilet and sink. Did not have time to visit Royal Gorge nor railroad but hope to come back next May or so to stay at KOA longer than a night and sightsee.

The cabin was very comfortable. The slide being closed was a disappointment for most as nothing is mentioned on the website about that feature being closed.

This is the 2nd time within 2 months staying at the Royal Gorge/Canon City KOA AND in the same cabin (401). The time was better because 2 new chairs on the porch, butane attached to the grill, bbq cooking utensils, paper towels, & extra bathroom towels all of which we didn't have the first time. Rain caused a deep crevise on the walkway to the cabin should've been filled. Coffee machine dirty.

Cabin 401a needs trees cut back so they don't rub on the roof when it's windy .. very annoying and hard to sleep. Every KOA cabin i have been in over the years has had shampoo, conditioner and soap provided for showering. Glad we had our own just in case. Otherwise our stay was just fine. Pretty quiet place. Cleanliness 9 out if 10. We would stay again. Great people.

This is our second trip to the Canyon City KOA. We brought our parents with us hoping that the cabins would be a great place for them to stay and enjoy some good family time. We were SO PLEASED with the cabin they stayed in! It was beautiful, smelled new, clean, and so accommodating. There were plates, coffee mugs, coffee maker wine glasses, a very new and soft comforter and sheets.

We stayed in a rustic cabin. Everything was very clean, including the bathrooms and showers! The kids loved the playground and the pool. All of the staff in the store were very friendly and helpful!

Took 2 hours to get checked in. Confusion with staff about which cabin we were to stay in. Overall clean. Liked the activities there was to do at the camp although I didn't get to use them. Sites are very close together. Dusty, nice views. Didn't like being charged for linens and having to make our own beds. Overall, it was a decent stay. May go back one day. Motorcycle trip with a couple of buds.

Cabin was very clean and comfy. We never could connect to wifi the whole time we were there. Ran out of coffee. We accidentally left with a wine glass. Left in car. Sorry.

I loved the cabin clean , fire pit , grill shower toliet no TV loved that. They also had community showers and bathrooms if you had a tent or cabin without those accommodations so that was nice to know . The store was not overpriced put put was fun we had a great time I will definitely be back

The cabin I rented was not available at checkin due to broken glass spread out in the cabin. I felt that the cabin that I was then placed in was a downgrade from the original booked. The cabin I was moved to was, no where near the restroom and the walk is pitch black at night. A second restroom should be located by the far out cabins.

We absolutely loved our stay, but would like to note that the mattresses in the cabin were absolutely horrific! We purchased the lowest-priced option, so we understand we weren't purchasing luxury, but man, we could not sleep a lick! Up every hour, and woke up extremely sore. We would come back, and had a great stay otherwise, but remember to bring some items to make sleeping more comfortable!

Enjoyed our stay! Clean, friendly property. Cabin was comfortable, and just the right right size for 2 people. Easy to adjust the room temperature which made the room nice and cool. The miniature golf park could use some upgrades. Overall beautiful, clean KOA! Will definitely stay again!

I would five 5 stars but I had a big snake under my cabin which made it very uncomfortable to sleep or enjoy the time outside due to being deathly afraid of snakes but staff was very friendly

Awesome KOA. My only complaint is that I think that they close the restrooms for cleaning around 930a-1030a around when some are still checking out. Most KOAs I have stayed at clean restrooms around noon.

We had an awesome stay at the Royal Gorge/Canon City KOA! It was a beautiful site they put us in and we got to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery. Definitely glad we stayed there.

The fridge was not working. Also I had booked a different cabin which was shown in the web site not on top of the store cabin. I really don’t know how the canon changed . I really had an odd experience we wanted to get a camping experience and not staying in a hotel room. If we needed to stay in a hotel room why come and stay in koa camping. Thanks

The deluxe cabins are perfect for a convenient stay while still being able to appreciate the outdoors. Spacious, convenient bathroom/shower and kitchenette. It was a great place to stay when exploring what Cañon City has to offer.

Our stay was AMAZING. I am beyond pleased with this KOA. It is perhaps the best one I have been to yet. PLEASE recognize DENISE. She was such a huge help. She went out of her way every time to accommodate us, and was super friendly and funny. She was such a great person!! We kept going back with questions to her! We will definitely be back and recommend this place to everyone.

While we had a few hiccups to get started, the owner reached out and got all our concerns resolved within a reasonable time. The amenities are clean and ample. The pool was clean and refreshing. The Glamping tent used for my elderly parents was comfortable and held up well when the rains came through. We've been coming for 20 years and plan to be back again.

We had a wonderful stay. Very clean and friendly. The only thing was the swimming pool was not open and we had 3 days of hot weather and couldn’t cool off. We will see you again soon .

Beautiful well kept grounds, views on all sides!! Staff were very nice and helpful and rest rooms and showers were very clean…,,,we couldn’t be happier to have stayed there and hope to come back !!

Our glamping tent was supposed to come with two cots. It only had one, with a mouse nest and mouse! The staff was very friendly and helpful, they are just understaffed. The bathrooms were way too far away, there needs to be at least a bathroom closer to the north end of the site. The women's room wasn't cleaned the whole time we were there. The floors were filthy, soap and paper towels empty.

It’s a wonderful campground with lots of activities for kids! Friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, comfortable cabins and centrally location to enjoy the Royal Gorge Train, Bridge & Park, Arkansas River and so much more! We’ll see you next year!

Royal Gorge KOA was amazing. The staff was friendly, the facilities including pool were clean and up to date. The location was super close to the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park. We especially loved our site which had a private fenced dog pen. I would definitely recommend staying here.

POSITIVES: incredibly beautiful surroundings. Truly makes you forget that this nation is in crisis! Very quiet and serene during May. Perfect distance away from the tourist traps and frenzy. Campsites are fairly level and have beautiful patios. NEGATIVES: really just an observation, women's bathroom was unlocked at all times. Although they provide a code, it appears that the lock needs to been reset!
