I would have given it 5 stars but my campsite had a big area of dirt where my front door of my RV was. The sprinklers would come on and just create a big area of mud. It was a pain when I would take my dog out at night to go potty. We would track mud into the RV and it just became such a mess to clean up.

I did like the facilities, however when i booked my stay a year ago there was a promotional purchase happening the second night . When arriving for my stay the front desk advised me that the policy changed. I was not notified of this change beforehand and, if i wanted to cancel my reservation I would have to pay a fee. Not honoring a reservation that was placed a year prior- l will not be back.

We always have a great time at KOA! The only negative is how expensive the daily rates are, especially for the cabins that have no kitchen nor bathroom.

With freeways on both sides led to a very loud trip. Our soot 1802 was very tight and close to the sites on either side of us. Great for having kids with lots to do, but for us who are retired, did not meet our needs.

This place is really nice. We love how the bathrooms and showers are well maintained. Although we loved staying in one of the small cottages, it could use some extra cleaning and bug spraying inside and outside. There was a lot of spiders that could be harmful esp to the kids. Overall, we had a nice stay in KOA SD.

Everything was clean and the staff were very friendly. My one complaint would be the live music by the pool was awful. The radio would have been better or spend the money on a DJ instead.

First time San Diego locals. My family REALLY enjoyed our stay. You guys do an amazing job at keeping the kids engaged and having fun. Amazing staff too.

Very nice place. Pool is top notch. Staff very nice and friendly. Loved the on site cafe featuring several craft beers. Had a good store and propane. Would highly recommend!

This place is beautiful. We watched, firsthand, how the maintenance crew keeps the place looking so inviting. We just got home and am trying to book another stay. We will be back soon. Hoping we can get a reservation. Fingers crossed. It's a beautiful day at this KOA!

This is one of the finest KOAs we have stayed at. The management and staff are so friendly. Al is a very kind person and a fair manager. They are all well spoken and friendly. The park is very clean and well taken care of. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Friendly and helpful people, delicious food at Sand Castle, site is impressive (especially the pool area). The only downsides were the weak spotty wifi and the VERY loud naval aircraft regularly flying over the grounds at low altitude.

Friendly staff. Very clean and well kept. The pool was sparkling clean. The only complaint, is that children are allowed in the hot tub.

Be aware of noise. t was a great stay, very clean and well run until the last 12 hours. It seems a whole kids camp was dropped off and the screaming and yelling was almost nonstop after. I’m glad I only had one night.

Very friendly and helpful welcome at the office!!! Good, appropriate sites. Unfortunately, the noise from the highway nearby was quite disturbing. And the Wifi only worked in the night, when most of the visitors were sleeping... Especially on Sunday: No Wifi... Weak net.

The park itself was very good. Problem I had was with the site next to us. They had a party there was more than the 8 person limit, noise went past 11 PM and talking up to midnight. They were ask to hold down the noise around 9 PM with no response.

Only reason why I didn't rate 10 / 5 is the lack of trash cans / dumpsters onsite and employees driving around in golf carts WITH a truck bed refusing to help get bags / boxes to the dumpsters. Most KOAs we have stayed at, you bag up your trash and every am/pm someone drives around and picks up your trash for you.

The most unpleasant experience I ever had at this location. I have stayed there many times always enjoyed it, but this time was differenthey put some stupid speaker on top of the building to simulate bird noises to try to scare away birds but every 2 minutes trying to enjoy a campfire was absolutely mind-boggling. I complained several times to no Avail.

Always a great time!! We visit 3-5 times a year for three years now and we always have fun. Our three kiddos have the best time. Loved playing bingo with my 5 year old, he said for our next camping trip in june he would love to play again. Thank you San Diego Metro KOA

It's hard to find an affordable RV park in the San Diego area. This KOA did the job. Nestled under large trees and has concrete pads. There is road noise, but that wasn't a bother for us. Someone was in our spot when we arrived and the staff was fantastic at helping us into another spot. More than accommodating. We stayed several days for what a hotel would have cost for 1 night. San Diego convention center took 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. We were not able to use the park amenities, but they offer a very nice pool area, fun bike rentals, and an outdoor eating area with a fun beach theme. We enjoyed a paper plate kind of breakfast, which was just fine for us. An areal image would have been nice to show all that the KOA had to offer and the convenience of the location, but we were told no drones. We didn't need internet, so I forgot to check. I'm assuming it was adequate due to the location. There was an altercation with some guests one night, and it had us concerned for our safety and the tent campers behind us. But all was fine. Also, there is plenty of tent camping spots and several log cabins. We would stay again.

I'm on my 2nd month here and love it! Staff is amazing. Place is safe! Food is mouthwatering. A++!! Literally zero complaints! And a few reviews down saw someone complain about the highway…. Please! You crazy. You can literally hear nothing! Zero! Zilch! This place is a 10 out of 10! Wish I could stay longer.
