I think it would be great if the space I am assigned would be cleaned up. There was bird droppings all over the picnic table we couldn't even use it and leaves were all through the grass. Like it hasn't been manicured for some time. The dog area I great but the mulch is hard on paws as they can get splinters and the receptacles were few and far between. I recommend placing more receptacles.

I would have given it 5 stars but my campsite had a big area of dirt where my front door of my RV was. The sprinklers would come on and just create a big area of mud. It was a pain when I would take my dog out at night to go potty. We would track mud into the RV and it just became such a mess to clean up.

With freeways on both sides led to a very loud trip. Our soot 1802 was very tight and close to the sites on either side of us. Great for having kids with lots to do, but for us who are retired, did not meet our needs.

Everything was clean and the staff were very friendly. My one complaint would be the live music by the pool was awful. The radio would have been better or spend the money on a DJ instead.

First time San Diego locals. My family REALLY enjoyed our stay. You guys do an amazing job at keeping the kids engaged and having fun. Amazing staff too.

Very nice place. Pool is top notch. Staff very nice and friendly. Loved the on site cafe featuring several craft beers. Had a good store and propane. Would highly recommend!

This place is beautiful. We watched, firsthand, how the maintenance crew keeps the place looking so inviting. We just got home and am trying to book another stay. We will be back soon. Hoping we can get a reservation. Fingers crossed. It's a beautiful day at this KOA!

This is one of the finest KOAs we have stayed at. The management and staff are so friendly. Al is a very kind person and a fair manager. They are all well spoken and friendly. The park is very clean and well taken care of. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Friendly and helpful people, delicious food at Sand Castle, site is impressive (especially the pool area). The only downsides were the weak spotty wifi and the VERY loud naval aircraft regularly flying over the grounds at low altitude.

Friendly staff. Very clean and well kept. The pool was sparkling clean. The only complaint, is that children are allowed in the hot tub.

Very friendly and helpful welcome at the office!!! Good, appropriate sites. Unfortunately, the noise from the highway nearby was quite disturbing. And the Wifi only worked in the night, when most of the visitors were sleeping... Especially on Sunday: No Wifi... Weak net.

The park itself was very good. Problem I had was with the site next to us. They had a party there was more than the 8 person limit, noise went past 11 PM and talking up to midnight. They were ask to hold down the noise around 9 PM with no response.

Only reason why I didn't rate 10 / 5 is the lack of trash cans / dumpsters onsite and employees driving around in golf carts WITH a truck bed refusing to help get bags / boxes to the dumpsters. Most KOAs we have stayed at, you bag up your trash and every am/pm someone drives around and picks up your trash for you.

The most unpleasant experience I ever had at this location. I have stayed there many times always enjoyed it, but this time was differenthey put some stupid speaker on top of the building to simulate bird noises to try to scare away birds but every 2 minutes trying to enjoy a campfire was absolutely mind-boggling. I complained several times to no Avail.

I had to be in the worse spot in the entire park. Between two large trees. My spot was covered in bird poop. It was not cleaned before I checked in. My RV and vehicle was completely covered in bird poop. If I come back, I will make a point that I do not want to be near large trees. I've heard there is bird deflectors that can be purchased. Maybe this park should look into that.

We have visited several KOA locations, and this San Diego Park is by far my favorite! The staff is very helpful and friendly, the restrooms are always clean, and the grounds are very well kept. The many activities held daily keep the kids busy and entertained. The park has a Cafe on site that offers great food. We always look forward to our trips to San Diego KOA!

Fantastic experience! So many amenities and clean facilities! Our campsite was perfect and the food at the cafe was delicious! Almost wished we had small children to play with all the rental equipment!

We stayed there several years ago and the KOA was looking very tired and updated. When we pulled in we were delighted to see all the improvements. It is a top notch resort now and we will definitely be back on our next visit to San Diego. The only thing it is missing is a dog pen site option that many of the other KOAs have installed.

Everything was very clean and the staff very nice. Only the showers are a bit small for us (shower head very deep, we are 1.90m tall). The children had a lot of fun.

Overall good stay - suggestions: change the gate code more frequently so crazy people aren't racing through the camp ground crashing into stuff and enforce quite hours

One of reasons we came here because of pool for grand kids. We weren't informed that pool is close. Not cool grand kids were very up set

This campground is well kept and the customer service is second to none. It has all they amenities. Even laundry.
