"We go to every Rolling Stones concert there is. We even travel to get there," Rosemary said. Besides being ardent classic rock music fans, the Mortensens are campground owners of 10 years. Mike was an equipment route owner while Rosemary was (and still is) a register nurse in neurology/neurosurgery. Rosemary said Mike went through "some sort of mid-life crisis" and emerged owning a KOA campground. Mike owned his own business all his life and became accustomed to being his own boss and keeping his own schedule. After attending a seminar and getting encouragement from the KOA Corporation, the Mortensens purchased the campground in the desert and left their home on the much cooler Wasatch Front of Salt Lake City. "It has been 10 years, and we are still getting acclimated," Rosemary said. Their worked is interrupted for Rolling Stones concerts and trips to England to visit their daughter. Back at home, they keep their campground clean to make a great impression on their guests."Ninety percent of the campers tell us how clean and nice the campground is," Rosemary said.
