Wild West Junction
Experience the Old West with authentic food, historical reenactments, special events and fun for the whole family. Visit the world-class Territorial Museum, eat at the Typhoon Saloon and Restaurant, or dress up in period clothing for an Old Tyme Photo! You can shop in Joe Wah's General Store, and discover the functional blacksmith shop as well as the only working jail in Williams. Wild West Junction is just minutes from the KOA.
Fly on over to Valle!
The Planes of Fame Air Museum is where aviation history comes to life!
The museum currently houses at least 75 aircraft at its location at the Valle Airport. You'll see aircraft spanning the history of manned flight, from a glider to modern space flight. The museum is a must-see for fans of flying. The museum is located at the Valle Airport in Valle, Arizona at 755 Mustang Way. Take I-40 to 64 North; the museum will be about 30 miles north of Williams.

Elephant Rocks Golf Course
This is a city-owned golf course welcoming the public and visitors alike. Golfers of all skill levels can enjoy 18 holes of championship golf among ponderosa pines. The course is within a five-minute drive of the KOA on Golf Course Road in Williams. Come play a relaxing game!
Oh deer…
Grand Canyon Deer Farm
Bring the whole family or group and walk among the tame fallow deer and hand-feed them at this well-run petting zoo. You'll also see reindeer, Sitka deer, miniature donkeys and horses, buffalo, and llamas, just to name a few. The farm is just eight miles east of Williams; take the I-40 Pittman Valley/Deer Farm Exit 171, turn north, then make a sharp left onto Deer Farm Road and follow it west for half a mile. The deer are waiting!
Get your kicks on Route 66!
Historic Route 66
Follow the 'Mother Road' that carried millions west to the land of dreams! On the National Register of Historic Places, this two-lane highway features intriguing points along the way, including a ghost town at Bellemont and a Harley Davidson shop. Begin your tour in downtown Williams on route 66, go east to I-40 and take Pittman Valley Exit 171, then go left over the highway and turn right to follow the historic highway. Route 66 is within twenty minutes of the KOA.

Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Area
Located 14 miles southeast of Williams, this area within Coconino National Forest is 55,937 acres of wilderness marked by colorful cliffs, soaring pinnacles and one of the world's rarest habitats, a desert riparian area. Spend an afternoon enjoying the breathtaking views, deep canyons, and streams. Follow FDR 173-Perkinsville Road to the junction of FDR 140 to FR 56.

Sycamore Falls
Also in the Sycamore Canyon area is a special place among the ponderosa pine forest and canyon country; Sycamore Falls is powered by spring run-off waters no later than April each year. When there is no water, it's a great rock-climbing location. The falls are always open and always free! To get there, go south on Fourth Street nine miles to FR 110; turn left onto FR 110 and go about seven miles and turn left onto FR 109 about five miles to the Sycamore Rim Trailhead.

White Horse Lake
Within a half-hour's drive from the KOA, White Horse Lake is an extremely popular fishing lake near the Sycamore Canyon and the Mogollon Rim of the Coconino National Forest. The lake is stocked with rainbow and brown trout and some channel catfish. Try catching dinner or enjoy opportunities for easy hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing. The road to the lake is well maintained; take Fourth Street in Williams and head approximately eight miles and follow the signs.
Dogtown Reservoir
Enjoy more fishing opportunities at this lake! Take Fourth Street and turn left on forest service cindered road 140; follow signs to the lake.
Kaibab Lake
Located within the Kaibab National Forest, Kaibab Lake is a beautiful body of water offering opportunities for swimming, boating, and fishing. You can also enjoy interpretive programs at the amphitheater nearby. A fully accessible fishing pier is new to the lake! Kaibab Lake is located four miles east and north of Williams; take Hwy 64 North to Kaibab Lake turnoff on the left, within ten minutes of Williams.
On top of the world…
Bill Williams Mountain
You will need to take a different vehicle to see this sight, since the road is not suitable for motorhomes, but the view is worth the trouble! The mountain offers a panoramic view of the Grand Canyon, the Verde Valley, and the majestic San Francisco Peaks. There are also numerous hiking trails if you're feeling adventurous; trails range from moderate to strenuous; most trails are more than a few miles round trip, the longest being seven miles. Cars and/or trucks will make the trip just fine! Take County Road 73 to FDR 111 and turn right.

Williams Loop Road Drive
This is a three hour drive offering excellent views of Bill Williams Mountain, Coleman Lake, and scenic forests and wide prairies. There are plenty of chances for wildlife viewing, some light hiking, bird watching, and photography. The Loop Road takes you by way of a route that passes through beautiful scenery, so it is worth the drive. Head south on County Road 73 from Williams seven miles, turn right onto FDR 108 and follow the signs.
Prescott's Got It All!
Prescott, Arizona
Make time to visit Arizona's first territorial capital and enjoy history, tradition, art and culture. Visit museums, galleries, and boutiques, or enjoy the fine dining and shopping opportunities, as well as golf courses, a zoo, casino, and more! Prescott is about a 90-minute drive from the KOA - Take I-40 west for 17 miles, then take Hwy 89 south for 53 miles to Prescott. Your trip will take approximately an hour and a half.
