Avenue of the Giants

The Avenue of the Giants is a magnificent 31-mile scenic drive just five hours north of San Francisco. This is 51,222 acres of redwood groves. Orick

Hike among the largest Redwoods, view elk along the road, and witness the artistry behind the burl creations. Just North of Orick is Fern Canyon, a popular destination for a day hike or a family picnic. Located 30 minutes North of Eureka KOA off Highway 101.

Trinidad

A little fishing village with much to offer, Trinidad conceals a wealth of natural beauty. Just North of Trinidad is Patrick's Point State Park. Climb to the top of Wedding Rock or view the big surf at Mussel Rock. Located 15 minutes North of Eureka KOA off Highway 101.

Victorian Village of Ferndale

Walk down Main Street in Ferndale for a trip back in time. Victorian architecture is well preserved. Originally built by dairy farmers and ranchers, the town is now shared with artists. Affordable live theater, local art, antiques, shops, restaurants, working blacksmith and saddlery. More than 100 varieties of birds have been seen at Russ Park. Ferndale Cemetery offers another insight into area history. Located 20 minutes South of Eureka KOA off Highway 101.

Scotia

In Scotia, gorgeous and well-kept Victorians line the main street, and the town square is picture perfect with a mountainous backdrop. Tour the lumber company and witness the life-cycle of trees to use-able goods. Don't miss the great photo opportunity with the lumber company trains next to the museum. Located 30 minutes South of Eureka KOA off Highway 101.

Trees of Mystery and Sky Trail

Located in the heart of the Redwood Empire, Trees of Mystery offers an overwhelming view of the Redwoods. Get a bird's eye view of the Redwoods as the only six passenger forest gondola on the continent glides you silently through the forest canopy. Don't forget to drive through the Klamath Tour-Thru Tree. Located 45 minutes North of Eureka KOA off Highway 101.
