Travel to the most famous silver boomtown. Once the second largest and most important city on the West Coast. Made famous by TV show, “Bonanza.” Known as “The World’s Liveliest Ghost Town”, Virginia City is a historic mining camp on the great Comstock Lode. National Historical Landmark.

Squaw Valley

Scene of the 1960 VII Winter Olympics, this is an interesting drive. Summer at Squaw Valley is crystal blue skies, wildflowers, clear warm days and cool evenings filled with fun activities for the whole family. Rising from the valley floor, the Cable Car ascends two thousand vertical feet to the mountaintop paradise, High Camp Bath and Tennis Club, elevation 8,200 feet, the Eighth wonder of the World. At this amazing facility, you can ice skate on an Olympic size outdoor rink, play tennis on one of six courts, ride horseback, mountain bike, spike a volleyball on one of six sand courts, bungee jump, walk through the Olympic Museum, relax poolside, meander through meadows filled with alpine wildflowers or just lounge in the sun and enjoy the view. There is a full schedule of summer special events, from arts and craft festivals to bicycle races, outdoor games, live music, picnics and more.
