Campground Activities
Relax in the shade of your campsite or one of our park areas, and enjoy incredible views of the Rocky Mountains from the Pueblo South/Colorado City KOA Kampground. Located in the Greenhorn Mountain Valley, just 20 miles south of Pueblo, the campground is a great place to escape the big city surroundings to a quiet mountain atmosphere. Spring, summer and fall days are warm to hot, but evenings are always cool and enjoyable. Don't miss our gorgeous evening sunsets and nightly light shows with a 360 degree view of the stars.

Planned Activities (May through October)
BBQ's
Have dinner at our outdoor "Diner" and enjoy a regular menu of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, polish sausage, BBQ ribs, chicken tenders, crispy chicken salad, and our famous Colorado City KOA Slopper! Specials of the day may include grilled pork steak, grilled chicken breast, rib eye steaks, salmon, lasagna, or pasta and meatballs.
Dessert Socials
Come to the "Diner," have dessert, and socialize with your fellow campers! Enjoy freshly baked fruit pies, cream pies, layer cakes, brownie sundaes, ice cream sundaes and A&W Rootbeer floats.
Breakfasts
Items for a Make-Your-Own Continental Breakfasts are always available in the store's snack area, or you can enjoy our cooked just for you pancakes, Belgian waffles, or biscuits and gravy all served with bacon or sausage, tropical fruit, assorted juices and hot coffee.
Friday Night S'mores Party
Bring your roasting sticks, we provide the smores every Friday night at our group campfire area!
Miniature Golf Tournaments
Try your swing on our 18 hole miniature golf course, labeled as one of the more challenging courses by mini golf enthusiasts who have traveled around to various tournaments and stopped here along the way. Our tournaments are not professional by any means-we only host them for the fun of our campers and local people. There is always a prize waiting for the winner, and our famous "you stink" award is always presented to the person who does not play so well!
Theme Weekends
Check our KOA News for a current listing of the theme weekends. Special events are always planned for our theme weekends--Come Camp and Care with Us, Memorial Day, Death by Chocolate, 4th of July, Christmas in July, Back to the 50's, Stargazing weekend, Labor Day, Halloween Weekend, Grandparents week, and the Hot Air Balloon and Customer Appreciation Weekend.
Santa's Winter Wonderland Christmas Display (December)
Christmas spirit happens when you camp in the middle of our five-acre Christmas display. 70 characters and 45,000 lights will set the season aglow. The Christmas gift shop is open late, stop in for Hot Chocolate, Wassail and Cookies!
