Lafayette KOAMeet Your Hosts The Lafayette KOA is family friendly, and family owned and operated. Jay Alleman said they enjoy many returning campers, including snowbirds who like to spend the winter with them. The campground has been family-owned since 1968. Jay works with his brother, Duane, and other family members who take pride in the family operation and enjoy working together. Jay's son, nicknamed "Bubba," is a certified technician who operates the RV repair service, and also does warranty work. "It's a good atmosphere," he noted of the KOA campground they operate. "We enjoy the people more than anything. He said he is most proud of the staff who helps operate the campground. "They are great with customers. We work as a team," he added. He said camping is very popular on a local level, so they welcome a great local clientele who enjoy getting away and relaxing for the weekend. They also host travelers who stop along their journey or winter at the campground. Both Jay and his brother enjoy golfing, hunting and fishing, he added. Come meet Duane and Jay Alleman. |
