Early morning anglers can enjoy fishing for perch, walleye, small mouth bass and much more. Boating enthusiasts can enjoy a day full of tubing, skiing or cruising the beautiful shore lines. But after a busy day by the lake, Higgins Lake KOA takes over. Don’t feel like cooking, join us for breakfast (weekends and holidays in season). Complete your evening with an ice cream sundae and a movie on our big outdoor screen. Kids can enjoy the Bouncy Castle, play ground equipment, rock climbing wall, and monkey jumpers! Daily arts and crafts are available in season. Hiking trails through out the heavily wooded campground can be a place to get close to nature. The Au Sable River offers lazy canoe rides and awesome fly fishing for every level of experience. In an effort to protect our trees from insect destruction here in Higgins Lake, we do not permit guests to bring their own firewood. We also do not permit collection of any wood, dead or alive, from within our forests. Firewood is provided for a reasonable cost at the campground store.
