Festival of Native Peoples - Cherokee Fair Grounds

This year's annual gathering of tribes from throughout the Americas expands into a showcase of native dance, art and culture. The Festival of Native Peoples is an exposition of non-competitive dance, storytelling and song performances expressing the collected history, culture, tradition and wisdom of the indigenous peoples of the Americas. You'll find artists and artisans showing, displaying and selling their beautiful work. The Cherokee Festival of Native Peoples is a unique event that you won't want to miss.

Talking Trees Children's Trout Derby - Oconaluftee Islands Park - Cherokee

This trout derby entertains and thrills an average of 1,000 children annually. Featuring fly-tying exhibitions, fish-cleaning stations, food, music, door prizes and trophies, the derby is free for children ages 11 and under.

Cherokee KOA Fishing Tournament - Cherokee KOA Campground

Open to one and all. Make it more fun by booking a kabin, kottage or RV site at the greatest campground in town. Just think, if you're a registered guest all the folks not interested in fishing can enjoy the weekend at the campground. Lots of fun for everyone. Register for the fishing tournament here at the KOA store. We have all kinds of bait and fishing supplies. Open to the public. Prizes will be awarded.

Annual Cherokee Indian Fair - Cherokee Indian Fair Grounds
