Copake KOAOpen May 14 - October 15 This campground is in the process of becoming a KOA. All facilities and services may not be available yet- please contact the campground directly with any questions or concerns. Only 2 hours from New York City and nestled in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, the new Copake KOA is built on property developed by Henry Astor, a member of that famed family. The entire area is rich in history, with many attractions less than an hour away. Visit the Martin Van Buren, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Vanderbilt Mansion national historic sites. At the Campground, relax by the pool or head for the tennis courts. Join in themed activities every weekend including a Hawaiian luau, Christmas in July, a Pirates weekend and a chili cook-off in the fall (enter your finest creations and vie for top honors). Most RV and tent sites in this lovely Upper Hudson River Valley location are wooded. New Camping Cabins and Cottages will be available this year, and seasonal campsites are available.
