Copake KOAOpen May 14 - October 15 Copake KOA is centrally located between the major cities of New York City, Boston, and Hartford. The 110 acre property is nestled in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and was originally developed by Henry Astor of that famed family. This piece of property is one of the many historic goldmines in the area, almost all of them within 45 minutes of the campground. Included in these are the Martin Van Buren, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Vanderbilt Mansion national historic sites. Is history not your thing? Then come enjoy the wealth of activities we have at the campground. Relax at the heated swimming pool, play pool in our new game room, take a break from the kids in the adult lounge or join in all the planned activities each themed weekend. Themes range from a Hawaiian Luau complete with pig roast, a visit from Santa for our Christmas weekend or even find yourself ship wrecked with our delightful recreation staff during our Pirate themed weekend! Daily activities are offered in July and August for both kids and adults. You can also play in a horseshoe tournament or play a game of family kickball. Enjoy the nature side of camping with our luscious wooded campsites but never feel far from home with the amenities in our new kabins and lodges. Do you want to experience the fun all summer long? Seasonal campsites are now available on a first come, first served basis! We are a security gated park. Our office hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. After hours, access to the park is controlled with a gate card which requires a $20 cash security deposit. We do have two full hookup campsites before the gates for after hour arrivals.
