Lookout Mountain Incline Railway

Experience the thrill of riding “America’s Most Amazing Mile” as the incline climbs historic Lookout Mountain. Tennessee Valley Railroad - Chattanooga

The “Golden Age” of American railroading lasted for about fifty years during which time rail empires were built, two world wars were fought and frequent passenger trains rolled almost everywhere. The Tennessee Valley Railroad was founded in 1969 by a small group of rail fans determined to preserve operating steam passenger trains. You are invited to ride the train, see the audio visual show, browse through our exhibits, tour the repair shop, enjoy the dining room and explore our gift shops.

Creative Discovery Museum

This museum promotes learning and discovery through sight, sound and exploration. Featuring a little yellow house for preschoolers, an optics tower, a one- hundred-twenty seat performance theater, plus live demonstrations and changing exhibits. Meet the inventor, the artist, the musician and the scientist that live within YOU and uncover a world of fun!

Lost Sea
