Here is where you'll find information on a wide variety of upcoming activities and special events for our KOA and for South Padre Island! Please read below and discover all that we have to offer. Make your reservation today and join us for the fun!

Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark, now open across from our KOA!

Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark on beautiful South Padre Island (located just across the street from the KOA) is the tropical destination for family fun! With interconnecting water rides and slides, a huge 5-story tall Sandcastle, thrilling uphill water coasters, a man-made surfing wave, and direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, Schlitterbahn Beach has all the ingredients for a great summer getaway!

Go to our Kampstore to check the program for our Saturday events such as movies, tie dye shirt making, ice cream socials, music, hot dog parties, and more!

Sandcastle Lessons at our playground, Saturdays, starting at 5 PM

Learn to build unique sandcastles with the experts from Lone Star Sculpture. Come to our playground and join in the fun every Saturday all summer long. Lessons start at 5 PM.

Friday Night Fireworks, a summer tradition, 9:15 PM

Look to the skies over the bay for a great fireworks presentation every Friday night through Labor Day weekend!

Take a Dolphin Watch cruise with Breakway Cruises!

South Padre Island is a great spot for water activities and a Dolphin Watch is a great getaway. Get details at the KOA pier about Breakaway Cruises and their sightseeing trips.

Fishing Trips available from Osprey Fishing Trips!

Call Osprey Fishing Trips at 956-761-6655 and set up a variety of fishing excursions including bay fishing, deep sea fishing, Brownsville Port trips, and more. Osprey's fishing vessels sail right from the KOA dock and these vessels use the latest technology for comfort and stability. The Captains and crew are experienced, helpful, and friendly. Walk "The Plank" at FishBones Pier and Grill

Did you know that a really cool bar is pearched on the end of the KOA pier overlooking the Laguna Madre Bay? Go check it out and also enjoy some yummy food at FishBones Pier and Grill.

Catch "The WAVE", SPI's FREE shuttle service!

The free South Padre Island shuttle stops at our KOA every thirty minutes. It's a great way to get all over the island and beaches. Check by the office for full details.

KOA Low Impact Floor Aerobics, Mon./Wed./Fri., 7:30 AM

Stay in shape with low impact aerobics. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 7:30 AM. Classes free to KOA guests.

KOA Pool Aerobics, Mon./Wed./Fri., at 9 AM

Pool Aerobics, 9 AM at the pool, on Mon/Wed/Fri. (Sunblock, Sunglasses, Hat, Noodle suggested). These classes free to KOA guests.

KOA Tone and Stretch classes, Tuesdays 7:30 AM

Join us for Tone & Stretch class, 7:30 AM, Tuesdays (comfortable shoes, bring mat or towel). Class is free to KOA guests.

Mexico Trips with Melba, Tuesdays, depart at 9 AM

Guided tour to Matamoros, Mexico with Melba. History, shopping, and a great lunch stop at Garcia's. Call Original Tour Company at (956) 761-6663 for details and to register.

Sunday church services available on the island and at Port Isabel
