In March of 2005, Mike and Linda, along with their son Michael and daughter-in-law Cindy, purchased the campground and began remodeling it. The campground had been a KOA since 1968, and needed some sprucing up. The most recent additions are the pet playland and the 10,000 square-foot family fun center. Mike had been a sheet metal contractor for 30 years before entering the campground business, but all four Ambrosio's had been motor-home campers for years. "We wanted a change in lifestyle," says Mike, "and we needed to slow down a little bit." Mike and Linda enjoy spending more time with their granddaughters, Ashley and Amanda, who live on the campground with them. "It's nice to have more family time," says Mike.
