Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley KOAMeet Your Hosts![]() In 1999, Mary and Roy Kircher purchased their KOA campground after moving to Virginia from New Jersey. The couple had visited the campground frequently and even helped run it off and on. Mary was a truck driver in New Jersey and her husband, Roy, was an electrical foreman on the bridges in Philadelphia. They were searching for something different and their KOA provided just that. "We became enamored with the lifestyle," said Mary. Mary and Roy strongly believe in personalized service. If the campers need help setting up their equipment, they are willing to help. If needed, firewood is delivered. "We do whatever we can to make our customers happy," said Mary. In an attempt to always improve their campground, they enjoy visiting other campgrounds to get new ideas. The best part about the campground is the combination of a woodsy area with the availability of modern conveniences. It is located at the base of Nassanutten Mountain and much of the land borders the George Washington State Forest. The campground offers hiking and fishing, as well as horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, and a playground. In their spare time, Mary and Roy like to ride motorcycles around the Shenandoah Valley. Mary commented on what makes their rides so enjoyable and said, "The valley is just beautiful." Come meet The Kircher Family. |
