It’s a good place to stay for visiting Craters of the Moon. Needs some work, which owner appears to be doing.

Owner was friendly at check in. We did not see anyone after we checked in for 2 nights. We did not need anything, but it nice to see someone is there. Rate is high for a dated campground in need of updates and in off season when many amenities are not available. For that reason rating and chance of recommendation is low. Other KOAs are offering discounts for off season.

When I select a KOA campground I have an expectation of the quality at the campground, unfortunately we were disappointed with this KOA. It was not maintained as well as expected, the surrounding property was not pleasant to look at, a natural fence or wood fence would be better. The bathrooms and laundry room were clean. Unless improvements are made we would not stay there again.

The site was tired. The pitches were untidy. When we arrived at 4pm there was nobody there. A local lady, not an employee, helped us. When the site staff person eventually came to say hello she said she thought we looked confused when we arrived, but still didn’t come out to help. The first KOA site we didn’t like.

The owner was one of the most awesome people I’ve delt with so far with KOA. I was extremely late getting in and he was so gracious allowing me to use the puppy yard for hours (no one else needed it, thank goodness!). After a 14 hr trip to get there, he was more concerned with me resting than anything else! It is a way-out-of-the-way spot, but worth the drive! Quiet, restful, just what I need

Campsite Staff and Owner were friendly and accommodating. Campsite a short distance to Crater of the Moon National Monument. If you want or need full service this is the place to stay.

We had a lovely stay in a RV that was very roomy, comfortable, and with all the amenities you need. The owner, Allen, was so nice and welcoming. He even carried in our luggage (for 2 seventy year old women). The next morning he showed up to carry our luggage out. The campground was nice and so close to Craters of the Moon. We would recommend.

Although the staff was very helpful and friendly the part itself needed some TLC. There werer limbs everywhere and our site was right next to the sewer cleanout, We consider staying for an overnight but that would be the extent.

The amenities lack the finesse of some other KOA sites, but that’s compensated with the friendliness and helpfulness of the people of the KOA. We’ve been here for the third time, now with a power outage. The people went out of their way to help us. Great!

The campground was in need of some TLC. There were branches on the sites & roads along with many dead branches on the trees. The bathrooms were clean & we didn’t use the laundry facilities. Thru no fault of management, there was a power outage during the night & we had to get on the road with no coffee.

Arrived late, check in was easy, but the arrival shed could have used a little more light inside(too dim to see arrival board). Morning reveille thanks to the neighbor was special...but otherwise it was quiet and relaxing.

Despite the fact that there were plenty of empty spaces in the campground, a huge class A was parked right next to us blocking our view of the sunset. The unit owner ran his heat pump which had an irritating whine all night . We had to close our windows in order to sleep.

We stayed 3 days and were never able to find the camp office open. Their hours were from 10-4. We would leave early to sight see and would not make it back in time to visit the office. One day we made it a point to come back around noon but when we got there, there was a noet on the door that the office was closed from 12-1. The campground is not located in the best area of town.

The young man at the front desk was outstanding - very friendly, helpful and professional! The park looked clean, our site was level and all of the hook-ups worked as they should, and it was quiet at night. The laundry room was clean and the washer and dryer worked well.

No one in the office to check in when I arrived. No phone number posted. No indication of time when the office person would return. Facility is in great need of improvement. It looks unmanaged. Not a good representation of the KOA brand.

Very friendly. Sites are good. KOA overall very clean. Would like to recommend improving dog run area. Very small and not well maintained.

Sites were very uneven, not much to do, information said pool was heated, but it sure didn't feel like it. Washing machines were having issues, one of my loads didn't work and another person had problems with a different washer as well. Over all just run down in general.

The place is rundown. A neighbor right next to our site played revellie and the star spangled banner LOUD over speakers and had dead busses and cars sitting around. Host was not around when we arrived and the booth that held assignments did not have one for us. Finally found the host who said she forgot to put ours up. No soap in the laundry. No host to be found to buy some.

The RV had everything we needed. You just need to get a new American flag for your flagpole. The one that's there is kind of shabby-looking. I would be happy to rent here again.

Someone was in our assigned spot and we were uncomfortable knowing how to handle it. There was no one in the office, nor were there instructions for how to deal with this. The store was closed and the sign said it would still be open, as did the web site. We were counting on that. We called the number, left a message about the other campers taking our spot, and no one returned our call.

Tents sites were nice enough with picnic tables and clean bathrooms. The website is very outdated and does not have current info. Office was closed when we arrived at 6pm (we didn't realize winter hours are 10-4 and begin right after Labor Day, not on website). Also NO BREAKFAST as specified on the website. We tried calling before arriving to confirm breakfast but never got a call back.

Variety of site amenities available, from no hook-ups to full hook-ups. Dump station. Picnic table & fire pit at each site, pool. Sites are decently spaced. Gravel roads & sites. Some trees & grass between sites. Enjoyed the coffee & waffle breakfast. Would stay here again. Look for the signs off the road.

We absolutely cringe at putting up a negative review. We saw no evidence of an “ice cream social” or “free waffles”, so that needs to be taken down from the website. The grass and trees are struggling without water. We wish them luck as they are nice people who need a little supervision/help from KOA.

Conflicting info on the website. One spot said the pool closes Labor Day, another said it closes 9/17. The website & my checkin paperwork said free coffee & waffles from 9-10 a.m. No coffee or waffles. We stayed in a cabin. Website says queen sized bed, I’m 5’ 4” & felt cramped. No exterior lights for bathroom. We booked 2 nights and left after 1. Won’t be coming back.

Quiet and simple Koa. It was quite nice. I arrived late and the after hrs check in was easy. The playground was fun for my 4 and 10 yr old. The tent sites were nice and the bathrooms close. Only complaint was the showers seemed old and it would have been nice if cleaner bottles were left to spray the showers before use.

Very kind gentleman opened cabin for me and turned on heat. Cabin was clean and well lit. Very nice experience, even if loop road was closed

I stayed in a cabin Mid June and it was exactly what I needed. I wasn't expecting to see the Tetons from the cabin but I was pleasantly surprised when I could. Highly recommend this KOA. Staff was exceptional. Cafe food was also great.
