Stayed overnight on our way back home from the Black Hills. We had no reservations. They were the friendliest hosts and very accommodating in getting in a site long enough that we would not have to drop our motorcycle trailer. Great gift shop. Customer service was extraordinary.

Not only the cleanest KOA park we've stayed in but by far the nicest and friendliest staff! Seeing our American flag raised every morning was very patriotically moving! We love this park�

RV sites were very well shaded with large mature trees. Staff was courteous and very helpful. Park overall was clean and neat.

Staying at the KOA in Mitchell is always great- this time even better! We have stayed here often over many years as we travel to and from the inter-mountain west. Mark and Stephanie are super hosts. The changes they have made and continue to make are amazing. It looks brand new. We recommend this KOA to friends who travel along I-90. Mitchell not only has the Corn Palace , it has a super KOA!

Nice and welcoming entrance — the hosts give “hostess with the mostest” a true description of the term. The grounds are well kept and maintained giving one the feel of a park-like setting. This location is a saved favorite.

Our campsite had dog poo right outside our door. We thought the site was too close to the next door neighbor, i waited to dump tanks untill he finished grilling his dinner. And the check in was rushed and rude.

Wonderful folks running this place. Super clean and impeccably maintained. Hot shower and neat bathrooms. Laundry facility great as well. Gorgeous large shade trees. Best KOA we have camped.

This is the 2nd time staying at the Mitchell KOA. Nice sites, close to 90 but far enough away not to hear road noise, nice store, shower room is very nice and clean! The hosts were fantastic! �

The office supposes to close at 17:00 but at 16:45 already closed and we need some change for landry, Very desapointed

I think you are getting our KOA office hours confused with another KOA. Mitchell KOA hours at the time of your stay were 8AM to 8PM.

Friendly helpful staff, a lovely park with well spaced sites and a nice path around the site. Who could ask for more? Even storm shelters if the weather goes sideways.

Mitchell has the cleanest bathrooms in KOA's we have ever seen. Their female owner(?) is a peach and we love visiting with her.

We recently purchased our first camper and wanted to stay somewhere local to become familiar with it. I was so glad we did, because we ended up having a few problems that needed to be resolved quickly (non-working refrigerator, sewer hose not long enough, etc.). We were able to purchase a lot of necessities in their well-stocked camp store, and the owners were so accommodating...they gave us a spot by ourselves with a large grassy area for our six young children to play on (I'd requested a more secluded spot, and they delivered!). At one point during our stay, one of our kids accidentally bent our vehicle key to the point where it wouldn't go in the ignition anymore, and the owners actually fixed the key for us - such a kindness! I would absolutely stay here again.

A beautiful spot. Great people, friendly, very accommodating and helpful. Very updated,neat and clean bathrooms. Perfect location. The grounds are beautiful and a really nice off leash double fenced dog area, incase your dog isn't sure about sharing space. We loved it. Highly recommend.
