WOW! Absolutely the best overnight experience ever and I’ve stayed at a lot of KOAs! Immaculately kept, beautiful trees, convenient to the interstate but far enough where you can’t hear it. But my favorite part……just before sunset, the manager and one of the staff reverently lowered the American flag, folded it properly and carried it inside. As a veteran it brought tears to my eyes. A+ all the way. Super friendly owners and staff. Emaculatly clean. Love that they care enough to install tornado shelters for their guests just in case. In the top 2 or 3 KOAs we've been to.

What a beautiful campground. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Pristine bathrooms with beautiful pottery sinks and other touches. Great modern showers. Easy access right of I-90.

Very nice KOA. Overnight only, but had time after setup to see the Corn Palace (very coo), and dinner/beer at the 'railroad' Depot a couple miles down the road.

One of the best KOAs! Very clean, nice gravel roads and lots. Easy access from I-90. The staff is professional, friendly and truly care about their guests. Impressed with how they use a push lawn mower around parked RVs. Most places use the big riding mowers causing unwanted debris to blow up on the rigs. This KOA has tornado shelters for guests. Very close to Corn Palace. 5 stars!

Wonderful people, immaculate grounds. The dog run is double for the dogs that aren't sure about sharing a space. We can't say enough good things about this place.

Have stayed several times as I pass through the area. Very big rig friendly. Easy access off I-90. Staff is always professional and very friendly.

They should receive high praise for there the assistance after our tow vehicle was found with a flat tire. Offered to take us to a wedding of my cousin in a town about 35 miles away. Thank you Mark and Carly. Van and Cathy

Very friendly, and the cleanest bathrooms and showers we have used. We are traveling in small truck camper, no toilet, requested near restrooms, got right across from them.

We've been staying at the Mitchell SD KOA in October for 13 years straight. It has always be a nice campground but, the last few years, with the new owners Mark and Stephanie, it's a great campground. Super clean. Super accommodating. Great bathrooms and showers. Great laundry area. A convenience store that always has exactly what we need. The new owners are AWESOME! See you in Oct 2024! Matt G

Mark & Steffany were once again AWESOME. Been staying there for 5 seasons for pheasant hunting and every year is better. Mark has made a LOT of improvements in just one year. Cabins have upgraded power. Just great people running a great KOA. Will be back again next year.

We were tired from travelling and this was a nice clean, well-kept place to stop for the night. We met the owner as we were trying to get our 40' into our spot and he noticed there was a tree down so he quickly moved us to another site.

Our experience from booking to checking out was superb! The hosts/owners were so great and helpful! You can tell they take great pride in their KOA! The bathrooms, grounds, outdoor activities, dog park and sites were all very clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back in the Spring!

Very nice campground and we have never been treated better than we were by Mark and Stephanie! Unbelievably clean restrooms, laundry and facility. The longer pull-through sites were wonderful. Can’t wait to stay there again.

We recently purchased our first camper and wanted to stay somewhere local to become familiar with it. I was so glad we did, because we ended up having a few problems that needed to be resolved quickly (non-working refrigerator, sewer hose not long enough, etc.). We were able to purchase a lot of necessities in their well-stocked camp store, and the owners were so accommodating...they gave us a spot by ourselves with a large grassy area for our six young children to play on (I'd requested a more secluded spot, and they delivered!). At one point during our stay, one of our kids accidentally bent our vehicle key to the point where it wouldn't go in the ignition anymore, and the owners actually fixed the key for us - such a kindness! I would absolutely stay here again.

A beautiful spot. Great people, friendly, very accommodating and helpful. Very updated,neat and clean bathrooms. Perfect location. The grounds are beautiful and a really nice off leash double fenced dog area, incase your dog isn't sure about sharing space. We loved it. Highly recommend.
