Nice basic flat, clean camping. Convenient location for propane fill up when you arrive. Gasoline and food shopping nearby.

This KOA is fairly old and in many ways shows its age. The owner is a great guy, but seems to be overwhelmed at times. We have stayed here a number of times over the years.

This is a great little KOA for an overnight stay. They have been remodeling for a few years and finally got their office done. The owner is very nice and helpful! Did not use the showers but the restrooms are clean.

Bon endroit pour un arrêt, endroit est peu bruyant avec un excellent service à la réception. Par contre le bloc sanitaire aurait besoin d’amour. C’est la raison principale qui explique le 3 étoiles.

Always love staying at this KOA. Rate reasonable and always very friendly and helpful. Quiet. We always see wildlife around the RV Park. We have seen elk and deer.

Wonderful customer service. I desperately needed to do laundry so appreciated the laundry facilities. You can use coins or a card. The showers are clean and serviceable with plenty of hot water. I always stay here on my way back home to Colorado.

We were there for an overnight stay. Had a really nice site, with a bbq. The family is working hard to make this a great place to stay. It’s in a great location across from a great grocery store so you can stock up on essentials for your trip. Close to lots of restaurants and near the golf course. It wasn’t opened yet, but looked like fun!

Great location, easy access on and off highway. Spaces were wide enough. It’s an older KOA, just needs some updates in bathrooms.

Third time to stay here - always pleasant & easy! It's an older, very well maintained park with super staff! Friendly & helpful people, convenient to everything in & around Raton, good area for walking the dog :-) Always eager to get back and definitely recommend as a good place to stay.

I just had a one night stopover. Easy access, quiet and affordable. Only needed electricity so opted for the less expensive site and had an enjoyable evening. Thank you!

Seventh time we have stayed here. Grant was great again. Bathrooms always clean and well maintained. Had to leave really early to beat snow storm for Denver. Great stopping place for all our travels.

The place looks much better than back in Nov 2023. Miss the pancakes, but the showers were a bit better so all in all a great price for a nice pull thru space. Same day booking was flawless.

Austin East KOA has to be the nicest, cleanest and most well run KOA that we have ever stayed at. Our overnight stay was amazing and the level pull-thru space and new marine grade electrical and sewer hook ups made our late evening arrival all the more pleasant. The location was perfect, away from any highways or train traffic which allowed us the opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Very nice place to stop for a day or two great places to eat nearby. The town of Raton is a great place to spend a couple days

If you are going to camp in Raton look no further! The front desk employee Grant is by far the sweetest KOA employee we have ever met. This location is also very convenient and affordable. They have the cheapest laundry we have found in the west and the facilities (restroom, showers, laundry room) were clean. They have ice cream in the front office/store. They have a dog park, a playground, and a dog walk. They also have take a book leave a book.

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.
