This campsite is pretty run down and we felt very unsafe. We tent camped and the tent sites are at the back of the campground and far away from the RV and cabin spots. We felt unsafe being so far away from other campers. Also, the store/office closes super early and no camp host is on site so therefor there is no security past 4 pm. Would not recommend tent camping here.

Location is great, but facilities are a little dated. Has decent restrooms with showers and a laundry room. Property could use some maintenance.

Very accommodating for us making a last minute reservation. Beautiful forest setting with cute cabins scattered among the RV parking spots.

We observed it to be an older KOA she needs some updates, especially the showers/bathrooms. Safety was a concern the doors to everywhere were always left open or ajar.

Very friendly staff. Level spot for our class B with full hookups. Restrooms and showers were clean. Only improvement would be potholes in roads filled in. Thanks for a great quiet stay close to the Redwood State and national parks!

Operation/management appears to be lacking. eg We made our reservation in Feb. for deluxe patio 50 amp. Pullthrough. Recd confirmation & again April 23rd. Arrived May 5 and were given a standard with 30 amp. Wish we’d have known. Narrow site, 30 amp.,challenge to park towed vehicle. Poorly maintained/Appeared neglected. Not up to KOA standards, which is why we choose KOAs. Very disappointed.

These folks guided us to the best tour locations. They went above and beyond in getting a site for us on our several-day stay. Next year this is the first place we will book. Some of the friendliest folks we met on a multi-state travel.

The lady that took our reservation was rude and refused to refund our deposit when we discovered there was no bedding available for the rustic cabin... only sleeping bags to rent for $50 each. We are retired, traveling light and have had nothing but great experiences at all the KOAs we've stayed at. We WON'T be back to the Crescent City location.

Spot was way to small and hard to get into for our rig. The individual checking us in was knowledgeable on spots. The one assigned to us was occupied. The dog park grass was way too high, the dog poop container was over flowing full. Beautiful place if it was kept up.

Beautiful campground but very understaffed. Office is only open 10-3 which makes it inconvenient. Maybe they’ll extend the hours in the summer(?) Doors to restrooms are propped open even overnight?

The park is nice with views of the redwoods and mountains, and is close to the the national park. Most sites are narrow but adequately maintained. The store could carry more items for tourist traveling and collecting.

This was a nice park. Loved the dog park! The one restroom building closest to us was closed since it was broken. It was a much longer walk, especially since I have some walking issues. Other than that, it was a nice place.

We stayed 2 days. The office open very limited hours. Showers were hot and laundry worked well. Bathroo.ms still had same paper on floor all 3 days.

The location is great. The site still needs work. An overhaul in the restrooms and showers would be good. A secure wifi and signal booster would go a long way for todays modern traveller. I know you cant give better weather, so no mention of that

Lack of gravel left th campground a muddy mess. It appeared they only cleaned the bathrooms once a week. If you are camping in this area I recommend you look to other RV Parks.

Very upset seeing all of the Redwoods cut down. They were what made the Crescent City KOA one of our favorites seeing the nature that wasn’t destroyed. Now they are gone.

Kudos to the maintenance person. They made a point of offering to store our e-bikes in the maintenance shop to foil burglars that plague the area. Place was otherwise, tidy and inviting. We appreciated the extra attention to making our stay pleasant

I arrived at the campground about 10 after three and was surprised to find that the office close at 3 PM. Not that big a deal I was able to locate my map and site number. First thing I noticed when I pulled into my site was the shrubson both sides was overgrown. It was raining and the site has no gravel base so it was like slashing around in mud. With some maintenance and upgrades could be 4 stars

Easy website reservation (Apr. 2024). Staff did great on prepping for our after-hours arrival for 1-night cabin. Clean facilities. Great location. Good WiFi signal. Cabin heater needs repaired or replaced. Thanks.

The third star is for our site, which was beautiful. Property is understaffed. We swept off our patio before setting up. Hedges need to be trimmed again and dog park and playground need to be mowed. Office and minimally stocked store is only open 5 hrs a day. Signs warn of theft. Thankful for the alert, but made me concerned for safety. None of staff wore the KOA shirts for identification.

Nice clean campground with good sized parking areas. Our only complaint was getting the spot next to a full timer there who had piles of junk next to his old beat up trailer. There were plenty of empty spots that would have been away from his junk.

Put us at the back of the grounds next to a bathroom they wouldn’t open- though there were multiple cabins closer to the front. (Maybe because we had kids?) Not our favorite KOA, but a decent option along a beautiful coast line.

Worse bathroom I've seen in any RV Park. If this was the first KOA someone stayed at they would probably never try another one!

My family enjoyed our stay at KOA. We loved our small cabin. We like the fact that we had a small fridge and a microwave. It was very helpful in preparing meals. We also appreciated all the kitchen supplies. We enjoyed cooking outdoors. It would of been a 10 and a 5. Wifi was non existent and the TV was not working. But we definitely stay at another KOA.

This has always been a favorite campground for our family, location is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay this weekend, it was quiet, relaxing and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Honestly don't know what people are complaining about. My family loved it. We brought our 3 year old and a small dog and stayed in one of the basic cabins with no bathroom. It was quaint and comfortable and very warm with the heater. We brought our valuables into the cabin and took everything off our roof rack and locked it in the car. No theft, no one bothered us, no loud parties, very quiet and relaxing. Other families with small children. Short office hours but everything was ready for us for our arrival after hours. Bathrooms were clean and operational with hot water. Grounds were beautiful and we loved the goats.

Good overnight cabin stay as our group of 4 motorcycled through the area (Apr. 2024). Appreciated the website reservation process as well as the camp staff preps for our after-hours check-in. Clean facilities & grounds. Other than the electric heater not working, it was great. Yep, we'd stay there again.
