Shrimp Boil was only "ok". It was set up outside and everything got cold. Minimal quantity.

One of the big things I stayed there for were the many amenities and didn’t get a one. No shuttle service by van or boat were available the whole week. The store didn’t open until the end of the week and the seafood boil was the biggest ripoff of all. $30.00 a head for 4 clams 4 shrimp 3 pieces of sausage 2 potatoes and 2 corns that my wife got and there was no more shrimp or sausage left for

It was a great experience and enjoyed my stay except for the flyin insects. Part of blinds were broken off.Bugs stains in ceiling. Dead insects with wings(look like a mosquito) stuck in webs on chairs and under table on porch . Chairs dirty. Maybe should had been power washed. After returning to the cabin , found about 30 tiny flying insects in bathroom and in shower which was a nuisance.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful surroundings. Need more restroom facilities. Melissa and Bren were awesome.

Great place to hide away and relax. Several fun amenities available and great scenic location. Easy check in process and helpful staff. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets weather permitting. We will be back.

We mostly enjoyed our stay and really liked the sound-side campsite. However, we did experience FOUR issues during our stay. 1st, our permanent-site neighbors across the road played loud hard rock music during the evening hours. 2nd, a poorly stocked camp store. Nearest grocery is 45 minutes. 3rd, site layout. Doors open onto neighbor's sewer line. There is INSUFFICIENT ROOM for comments!

The campground is a long drive off highway, and there is nothing nearby as far as grocery, restaurants, etc. Looks like A LOT of the sites are seasonal (well kept). The sites are gravel and took a bit for us to level. The roads are also gravel, and noisy with the frequent golf carts and vehicles. Camp Store was closed while we were there, and the office is a LONG walk to get ice.

The camp store was closed until our last day. It would be nice if you could consider opening a little earlier for us early birds. We’ll be back there next year for the sane week.

My first complaint is that they advertised a cafe that isn’t up and running yet so a little lunch or breakfast I planned to have wasn’t going to happen and there isn’t a store super close by to get things when you didn’t know you needed it. Beautiful campground . Friendly staff ! Take your time and be careful on the main road heading into the camp , it’s very narrow and windy. White knuckles bringing in a 5th wheel.

We had a space inland with a beautiful view of the water. Too cold to swim but the campground is getting ready for summer. Nice places to walk along the water. Very clean bathroom and the grounds were well manicured. We enjoyed our camp experiences.

Early season hours did not support us and it is so far off the path it made getting ice and firewood difficult. The bath houses we locked at night and the store was closed.

Positives: Great WiFi connectivity, friendly & helpful staff, super view of the Albemarle Sound! Negatives: Deluxe site w/small patio deck. The deck was behind the RV, not beside it where most tables or decks are. We never used the deck. Had to take our trash to the dumpster. Most campgrounds, including other KOA's that we've stayed at, the trash is picked up.

So many things closed, not operational or in disrepair. Unhappy being charged full price for half of what’s promised in materials. All staff at time we great and not their fault. How about a refund for the disappointments sorry but after staying at many koas we have come to expect more

Clean but over priced. No amenities were available. Every thing was closed except on the weekends. This wasn’t advertised. Water pressure was very low so if you have a tankless water heater you have to use your water pump to get hot water. Sewer connection was too high resulting in difficulty draining black and gray tanks.

It was beautiful! I didn’t realize that I needed to provide linen for beds and bath. I was empty handed and they readily provided what I needed without hesitation. Hospitality was impeccable. I will stay again.

Always a relaxing stay. Only thing to hit is not enough for kids to do. Need a pool or something. The snack bar never opened during our stay. Not sure why and nobody could tell me why. Love the campground but think I'll start looking elsewhere.

Lots are very close together When setting up reservations, we stated that we were traveling with family and would like sites beside one another if possible. We were given sites 6 spaces apart while there were two empty sites immediately beside us on the other side.

Their stock in the camp store was empty and the restaurant they have was closed. The little pedal carts were broken. The mini golf corse is made with plywood and the mulch that is around the course is on the green.

Pretty far out. Only complaint is the bathrooms were dirty. Expect cleaner bathrooms, paying a lot of money to camp.

Very clean, friendly KOA. Had a nice water view site. The only negative would be it is far from Elizabeth city and the outer banks but the campground is very nice.

Wifi was weak. Camp store had VERY varied hours. The arcade machines ate coins and/or didn't work. If staff could pick up trash that would be amazing! The dumpster is NOT CONVENIENT.

We were disappointed that almost all amenities listed were closed. Regardless, we were still charged a $10 per day amenity fee. The one day we were there that the store and snack bar were open, they had absolutely no food. The shuttle bus was not available. The closest store was 30 minutes. Staff was lovely and the site was spacious and level. Not up to KOA standards we have come to appreciate.

For years this has been my “ go to” campground as o only live 30 minutes away. I think I may have to find another “go to” campground now. The campground is nice. The staff is nice. It just seems like this KOA nickel and dimes you to death. I have always paid extra for KOA because they are usually very nice campgrounds but this particular KOA has gotten too expensive after all the extra

Campsite was clean and well maintained and staff was friendly and helpful. Have stayed at the Outer Banks/Currituck Sound KOA previously, and it's one of our favorite local camping spots. Will definitely stay there again :-)

We really enjoyed our stay. Like we always do. We brought my brother and sister in laws with us. They really liked it too. We are coming back in May & September.. maybe the weather will be less windy and cold. Hope to do family vacation in September there. See you soon.

Great location, quiet and serene—just what we needed to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. This KOA is tucked away behind Church's Island neighborhood, so you wouldn't even know it's there. The roads are very narrow when going through this area before you get to the KOA, so keep that in mind if you have a big rig. But don't let that scare you, because there are plenty of big rigs that go there. Yes, we're going to visit again. The staff was great, the location is great, and the bathrooms and laundry facilities were excellent and well-maintained. The convenience store was great, and the fun activities they have outside, like a jump house, putting green, and little mini go-karts that are powered by pedal power, are worth trying out if you want to work out. Oh, and make sure you visit the Morris Farmers Market in Currituck, which is about 26 minutes away. It's definitely a place you need to visit for the shopping, the food, the music, and the environment—it's totally worth it. And if you want to venture out a little further, like we did, we went to Kitty Hawk, which only took us barely an hour to get to. It was such an easy and scenic drive, and we got to see an awesome part of history when it comes to the first recorded flights and innovation.
